From 30 September to 1 October, 2008, the Rectorate-Board of CanTho University and DRAGON Institute – Mekong – CTU welcomed and discussed with the Delegation of US Geological Survey, including Dr. Greg Smith, Mr. Stanley Ponce, Mr. Ken Fairfax, Mr. Econoff Dovas Saulys and Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Tú (US Embassy staff). In the meeting, both sides exchanged the research and collaboration orientation in the future based on the agreements between Vietnam and US governments.
DRAGON Institute – Mekong – CTU organized a field trip for USGS delegation to Cai Rang Floating Market (CanTho), shrimp – rice cultivation households in Vinh Chau (Soc Trang), the sea dyke system and agriculture-forestry-aquaculture models in Bac Lieu.
