The workshop held on October 9th, 2012 in Soc Trang province with the participation of representatives of departments, agencies and units as well as experts of DRAGON Institute, Can Tho university and Wageningen university.
The reports on “Current status and salt water intrusion models in Soc Trang province”, “Current status and solutions for development of agriculture and environment in Soc Trang province” had been presented for all participants. The participants had discussed on the reports to find out priority solutions and action plans to adapt with climate change in agricultural production.
Some solutions that have been raised during the discussion have been recommended and planned for demonstration at some local places in Soc Trang province with the assistance and support from the project.
The outcome of the event is significantly contributing to the development of agricultural production under currently changing environment in Soc Trang province.
