OBJECTIVES:

This workshop is part of the Open Cities programs of the Can Tho Urban Development and Resilience Project that looks to support innovative approaches to the collection, aggregation and open dissemination of geospatial data.

Main activities:

In this workshop, the participants will learn the basics of OpenStreetMap (OSM), a free and editable map of the world with a large global community of participants that has a substantial ecosystem of tools and services. Community mapping and crowd sourcing using open and collaborative platforms such as OSM, can provide high resolution maps for city and local planning that are created and used by the City and its communities.
