On January 16, 2023, the project team from The Research Institute for Climate Change (DRAGON-Mekong), Can Tho University, in collaboration with the Community Group Area 3, An Khanh Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City hung some boards of Ghe Chim canal in the local area. This activity is in framework of the project "Community based canals restoration and solid waste management for improved flood resilience in Area 3, An Khanh Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City” which was funded by The Canada Foundation for Initiatives (CFLI 2022) and the Institute for Environmental and Social Transformation (ISET).
These boards describe the current state of the Ghe Chim canal before and after the stream was cleared and floating debris was collected. As a consequence, this action assists the local community in conserving and protecting the project's results.
