On August 5th, 2020, at the Office of DRAGON-Mekong Institute (CTU), representatives of the Institute led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung, Director of the Institute had a meeting with delegates of Department of Locality III - Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs.
On 19 June, 2020, Research Institute for Climate change (DRAGON-MEKONG Institute) collaborated with Hue University to hold the workshop on Valuing the benefits of Blue/Green Infrastructure for flood resilience, natural capital and urban development in Can Tho city, Viet Nam under the sponsor of NAFOSTED. The workshop attracted over 50 attendants from local agencies, companies and academic institutions.
On 17 June, 2020, the workshop on Drought and salinity in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta in 2020 took place at the hall of Research Institute for Climate change (DRAGON-MEKONG Institute). This event strengthened the academic cooperation between DRAGON-MEKONG Institute and Vietnam River Network. The workshop was attended by about 50 participants from local agencies, companies and academic institutions in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta.
The Climate Change Research Institute (DRAGON-Mekong Institute) has built a map of saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta from 1/1/2020 to 4/20/2020. The map shows saline data of several monitoring stations, mostly along the Mekong river's mainstream. In addition, the specific data is displayed in each station. This document is for reference purposes only and allows the readers to get better understanding of salinity under current circumstance in the Mekong Delta.
