On July 2nd 2013, the Research Institute for Climate Change – Can Tho University (DRAGON Institute) and Hau Giang Environmental Protection Agency started a project entitled “Climate Adaptation: Water harvesting in the Mekong Delta – A Case Study of Hau Giang Province” at Vi Thanh City, Hau Giang Province.
On June 13th 2013, Mr. John McAnulty, Australian Consulate-General, would like to visit Can Tho University during his visiting trip to the Vietnamese Mekong Delta. In this visit he paid a visit to and meeting in DRAGON Institute. Warmly welcoming Mr. Mc Anulty at DRAGON Institute’s side was Assoc.Prof. Le Anh Tuan, vice director of DRAGON Institute, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Hieu Trung, dean of College of Environment and Natural Resources and other staffs of Can Tho University.
On June 10th 2013 the workshop on “Mainstreaming Climate Information Application for Enhancement of Agro-ecosystem Services and functions in the Mekong Basin” was held at the Hall of College of Environment and Natural Resources, Can Tho University and organised by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) in collaboration with University of Ruhuna (SriLanka), Sub Institute of Hydrometeorology and Environment of South Vietnam (IMHEN), and the DRAGON institute – Can Tho University.
On May 22nd 2013 by occasion for visiting Vietnam, experts of International Foundation for Agricultural Development came to see and find out the DRAGON Institute – Can Tho University. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Tri, the DRAGON Institute director and his staffs have warmly welcomed the visitors.
