On 24th February 2020, DRAGON-MEKONG Institute was pleased to welcome Professor Matthew E. Andersen - Senior Scientist for Biology International Programs from United States
Geological Survey (USGS) to visit and work on research the so-called "NexView" project for making decision support systems for groundwater sustainable management in Cambodia and Vietnam.
On February 10th, 2020, DRAGON-MEKONG Institute had a warm meeting with Professor Mart Stewart (Professor of History Affiliate Professor, Huxley College of the Environment,
Western Washington University) and Mrs. Ly Lan, a celebrated translator, who translated sucessfully the a series of fantasy novels – Harry Potter.
May 9, 2019 , Research Institute for Climate Change – Can Tho University (DRAGON Institute ) and Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) had the meeting in the framework of the project “ Drought and flood in the climate change condition - a new and adapted normal roadmap for the langcang basin- Mekong” , is organized at the office of DRAGON Institute.
The meeting had the attendance by Dr.Nguyen Hieu Trung (DRAGON Institute), Mr.Nguyen Nguyen Minh, CSIRO representative experts and project members.
The content of the meeting discussed about the project progress, the difficulties and shortcomings that need to be overcome , the solutions ,and planed for the jobs in the future.
The meeting results go well, the results of the meeting will contribute to completing the next stage of the project.
On July 10, 2019, the delegation of Virginia University, USA visited and worked at the office of Research Institute for Climate Change - Can Tho University (Dragon - Mekong Institute - CTU). Welcoming the delegation has the participation of officials and lecturers of Research Institute for Climate Change, College of Environment and Natural Resources, Biotechnology research and Development Institute, and Mekong Delta Development Research Institute.
The visit of the delegation aims to introduce the Mekong River water reserve data platform and the online tool Mekong Hydroshare for storing and sharing water data, providing analysis tools and free simulation which is contributed by the research community.The results of the meeting and working went well. The team of experts sent sincere thanks to the officials and lecturers who spent their time receiving the delegation, exchanged and set out some cooperation directions in the coming time.
