The global COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for communities globally to prepare for, and adapt to, natural shocks. The CSIRO and Can Tho University’s Research Institute for Climate Change has implemented a climate adaptation project to help local farm communities adapt to the ‘new normal’ of more frequent drought used by the values-rules-knowledge (vrk) framework. The pilot study located close to the mouth of the Mekong gives a stronger voice of all stakeholders in finding a path forward.
