On June 10th 2013 the workshop on “Mainstreaming Climate Information Application for Enhancement of Agro-ecosystem Services and functions in the Mekong Basin” was held at the Hall of College of Environment and Natural Resources, Can Tho University and organised by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) in collaboration with University of Ruhuna (SriLanka), Sub Institute of Hydrometeorology and Environment of South Vietnam (IMHEN), and the DRAGON institute – Can Tho University.
All participants discussed on issues related to agro-ecological system under climate change conditions and challenges of information use in order to mitigate those problems in agriculture production. From that moment on experimental areas of intervention of information technology to improve services and functions of agro-ecological system in the Vietnamese Mekong Basin.
