On October 22nd, 2021, the Research Institue for Climate Change (DRAGON-Mekong Institute)  and the College of Environmental and Natural Resources (CENRes), Can Tho University organized the 5th scientific conference “Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this conference held online. About 100 delegates from various universities, local agencies participated in this conference.

The 5th conference has had a plenary session and four parallel sub-committees. At the plenary session, there were 3 main reports on curriculum  content, scientific research and research cooperation towards 2025 of the CENRes and DRAGON-Mekong Institute.

The conference served as a forum for scienties, managers and relevant stakeholders discussing common challenges and interest. This would lead to obvious solutions related to sustainable development in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta.

On the occasion of this conference, there was an official signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation between DRAGON-Mekong Institute, CENRes and DONRE Can Tho. Collaborating with the three organizations aims to boost the cooperation activities in terms of sharing information on law and science technology; supporting resources on consulting state's environmental protection laws and regulations, science technology; organizing in training and implementing project  relating to environmental protection and climate change.
