On March, 3rd 2016, the Scientific workshop on “Impacts of upstream constructions on the Mekong River” was held at Can Tho University. The workshop has main targets, first providing information on the report of hydropower construction impacts assessment on the Mekong River (IRA-MDS) and then creating a discussion forum for local stakeholders at the Vietnamese Mekong Delta (VMD). 

The workshop was organized in cooperation between Research Institute for Climate Change, Can Tho University (DRAGON Institute – Mekong) and Green Innovation and Development Center (GreenID). It has been received the attention from Irrigation Departments and Environmental Protection Departments participants in the VMD, members of the Network on Mekong Delta Environmental Protection and Climate Change Responding (MekongNet), and researchers of Vietnamese Universities, Institutes and Centers.
