On March 14th, 2022, at the Hall of the Research Institute for Climate Change (DRAGON – Mekong Institute), Can Tho University, a seminar “Modeling the Mekong: Climate Adaptation Imaginaries in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta” was presented by Ms. Lizzie Yarina, PhD Candidate, MIT Urban Studies and Planning.
The presentation presented a research question of the relationship between numerical models and the distribution of the benefits and harms of climate adaptation interventions, and between urban and rural sites, over time. To answer the research question, the study adopts a qualitative research methodology, involving document review, semi-structured interviews, and site visits. The author plans to conduct preliminary field visits in April, 2022.
