On April 20th, 2021, Research Institute for Climate Change (DRAGON-Mekong Institute), Can Tho University was honored to welcome H.E. Mr. Gareth Ward, British Ambassador to Vietnam and his delegation.

At the meeting, representing DRAGON-Mekong Institute 's leaders, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Van Pham Dang Tri, Director of the Institute, expressed his pleasure to welcome the Ambassador. Both sides discussed about the impacts of climate change and adaptation activities in the Vietnamese Mekong Delta.

The delegation also had a short field trip on the Hau river and the Can Tho river for sharing about issues related to water quality degradation and its impacts on the livelihoods of local communities.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Hai, Vice Rector of Can Tho University, welcomed Mr. Gareth Ward, British Ambassador to Vietnam to visit at the University.
