On April 27th, 2023, the Institute of Climate Change Research - Can Tho University (DRAGON-Mekong) was honored to welcome Ms. Leigh McCUMBER, Political and Cultural Counselor, CFLI Project Manager, and The Canadian Embassy in Vietnam. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Van Pham Dang Tri, Director of the Research Institute for Climate Change, and the staff welcomed and worked with the Canadian Embassy delegation.

The objectives of the visit are to get a better knowledge of the effects of climate change in the Mekong Delta; To assist communities vulnerable to the consequences of climate change, as well as to exchange ideas and seek opportunities for research collaboration; To visit the research site of the Canadian-funded project "Community-based canals restoration and solid waste management for improved flood resilience in An Khanh ward, Can Tho City, Vietnam" (CFLI-Can Tho), which is located in Area 3, An Khanh Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City.
