During the workshop, all participants have taken part in discussion sessions to look for possible cooperation in national, regional policies that could help to have action or cope with climate change; to find out best ways of collaboration and practices on climate change research; to search for ideas of expansion and multiplication of existing research as well as development of adaptation options; to identify knowledge of integration of climate change adaptation into urban sustainable development plan.
How is the climate changing? What are the societal impacts? What is the rate of change? To answer such questions and discuss many more, researchers, policy makers and private sector representatives met recently at an International Workshop on Climate Change.
On two days 3-4 March, 2009, DRAGON institute – Mekong – CTU associated with Southeast Asia START Regional Center (SEA START RC), the Water and Development Research Group, Helsinki University of Technology (TKK), Finland, WWF-Greater Mekong for a workshop on “Rapid assessment of impact, vulnerability and adaptation to changing climate and flood regimes in the Mekong River Delta” in the Conference room of the CTU Learning Resource Centre.
