In the morning of February 24, 2023, the Delegation of the United States Agency for International Development in Vietnam (USAID Vietnam) had a meeting with the Research Institute for Climate Change (DRAGON - Mekong), Can Tho University (CTU) to discuss the overall progress of the “USAID environmental education for Mekong program”.

Ms. Linda Percy, USAID Vietnam's Finance Manager, led the trip, which included Vietnamese experts from the national office. CTU delegates included the Director of the DRAGON-Mekong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Van Pham Dang Tri, Project Management Board representatives, and relevant CTU students.

The project management team and representatives from USAID Vietnam made the decision during the meeting to work with other youth-focused networks currently run by the DRAGON-Mekong to identify students who are most compatible with the program's objectives and orientations. Students from various provinces will participate in training sessions and environmental communication campaigns that were developed based on the three distinct hydrological regions of the Delta. The USAID Vietnam representatives acknowledged the ongoing efforts and recent achievements and offered suggestions for enhancing the project's future operations.
