“Cloud computing data analytics and datacube technology for EO applications”
With the provide participants with an introduction to current cloud-computing technologies and resources for efficient and scalable Earth observation (EO) data analysis and application development, Research Institute for Climate Change (DRAGON-Mekong Institute), Can Tho University (CTU), in collaboration the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) of Australia and Boeing Company of the USA will organize traning with “Cloud computing data analytics and datacube technology for EO applications”.
Objectives:
• Undertake hands-on training in EO cloud-based data analysis and applications using CSIRO’s EASI technology and the Opendatacube software.
• Discuss and scope technical aspects of a data/knowledge integration system connecting selected capabilities and resources across research, industry and government organizations
• Identify existing capability/resources and teams interested in developing further capability
• Design a minimum-viable-product test case for data/knowledge integration.
The traning is suitable for both:
• Data scientists who may benefit from the hands-on notebook sessions;
• Technology managers who may contribute to the cloud-computing and data/knowledge integration topics.
